Format: Individual Stableford

Round Length: 9 holes

Field: Maximum 40 players

Play during normal business hours. Advance and make-up rounds are allowed, with a maximum of 2 rounds per day and 3 per league week.

Your first 3 completed rounds establish a Halley Golf league handicap. Net Stableford scoring keeps players of different skill levels competitive.

Compete for cash prizes, challenge events, achievement awards, and a permanent place on the Halley Golf League Champion Plaque.

How Stableford Scoring works

Stableford scoring rewards good holes without allowing one difficult hole to ruin an entire round. Instead of ranking players only by the total number of strokes taken, players earn points on each hole according to their net score in relation to par.

This format encourages players to remain positive, take reasonable chances, and stay involved throughout the round. A player can have a difficult hole, earn few or no points, and begin the next hole with a fresh opportunity to score.

Example Points with handicap:

Net Double Bogey = 0 | Net Bogey = 1 | Net Par = 2 | Net Birdie = 3 | Net Eagle = 4 | Net Albatross = 5
